In this episode, Emma and Phoebe from the Clinical Negligence Team explain the Welsh Redress Scheme, which is a method of handling and investigating complaints about the NHS in Wales. This is an alternative to litigation, but the legal test that must be proved is the same as in a formal clinical negligence claim. The compensation available under the scheme is capped at £25,000, and the team at Lanyon Bowdler are able to assist with advising as to the appropriateness of offers of redress, negotiations under the Scheme, and advising in cases where the Welsh Redress Scheme may not be appropriate.

The charity was established in 2012, after the founder's husband took his own life following the death of their son. 2wish started in Wales and now is spreading into England, where they support professionals, parents, siblings and other family members affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young adult aged 25 and under.
